Breast Augmentation: Breast Augmentation is designed to enhance breast size with implants. Augmentation can be performed using either saline or silicone gel implants. You and your Surgeon can decide which would be the better choice. Breast Augmentation is done under general anesthesia and usually takes about 45 minutes, patients go home the same day. Incisions can be hidden along the areola or in the crease of the breast to produce the best aesthetic result. Recovery is generally easy and patients may get back to light activity in 3 to 7 days. Strenuous exercise should be put off for several weeks during the healing process.
 
Mastopexy: A breast lift can be done with or without an implant depending on the volume of breast tissue you have. A breast lift reshapes sagging breasts by removing excess skin and reshaping the breast tissue. The areola size can be reduced during this surgery as well. Adding an implant during a mastopexy can refill lost volume and produce a more augmented appearance to the breast.
 
Breast Reduction: For patients suffering from back pain, neck pain, rashes and bra strap grooving, a Breast Reduction might be the answer you have been looking for. A breast reduction removes fat, glandular tissue and excess skin resulting in a smaller breast. The size of the areola can also be reduced with this surgery. Many patients report relief from the symptoms above immediately. Recovery is generally 2 weeks.
 
Abdominoplasty: Also known as a Tummy Tuck, is the surgical procedure to remove excess skin and soft tissue as well as tighten the muscles of the abdomen. Dr. Cozart commonly does liposuction with a tummy tuck to further enhance the results. Tummy tucks can dramatically alter the appearance of a stomach that has been stretched out due to pregnancy or massive weight loss. This is also an outpatient surgery and recovery time should be expected to take about 2 weeks.
 
Liposuction: While liposuction is not a weight loss tool, it is extremely useful in removing stubborn areas of fat from various parts of the body. Dr. Cozart uses power assisted liposuction in which the canula itself helps the surgeon in breaking up the fat to be suctioned out. Liposuction is commonly done on neck, abdomen, thighs and hips. One can expect to lose inches instead of pounds. Swelling and bruising after liposuction can take a few weeks to go away and final results can take up to several months.
 
Facial Rejuvenation: There are many procedures offered to rejuvenate the face. From surgical to non-invasive, there are many to choose from. Dr. Cozart offers Botox Cosmetic to soften lines around the eyes and forehead. Small injections are made into the muscles and the results can eliminate or greatly improve the existing lines.
 
For the lower face, we offer soft tissue injectable fillers. These fillers are Hyluronic acid naturally produced by the body so there are no worries of adverse reactions. These fillers offer immediate correction the patient can control. Common areas are the lines from the nose to the lip, from the lips to the chin and in the lips themselves. Fillers are very popular with women who want the plump lips we see in magazines. Both Botox and injectable fillers are temporary and must be repeated to maintain the effects.
 
Skin Care: Skin care is an important part of facial rejuvenation. We offer the Obagi Skin Health System and NIA 24/7. Correct and daily use of these products can produce healthier looking, more radiant skin. We also offer the Obagi Blue Peel which is a TCA peel that will reduce skin discoloration and improve skin quality. Healing time is about a week. For a more dramatic resurfacing, we use a C02 Laser. This is a deep peel resulting in tighter skin, elimination of fine lines and discoloration. The down time is longer and should be expected to last 10 days to 2 weeks. Redness may persist for a couple of months, but results are dramatic.
 
Facial Surgery: For the patient wanting a more permanent result, surgical options are available. Neck lifts, facelifts, brow lifts and eyelid surgery will remove sagging skin and tighten the soft tissue of the neck and face for a more youthful look. Again, these are outpatient procedures that are done under general anesthesia. Recover time can be expected at 2 weeks.
